CALM AFTER THE STORM: OUTDOOR, LANDSCAPE FILM PHOTOGRAPHY, CHEAP 35MM FILM CAMERA & KODAK COLORPLUS. In Reunion Island

📸Film Photography On Location with Canon 35mm Film Camera is Just Fun!
📸 IF IT’S A CHEAP FILM CAMERA, EVEN BETTER!

ABOUT THE VIDEO TODAY:

IN THIS VIDEO I AM IN THE WEST OF REUNION ISLAND. OBJECTIVE IS TO TAKE SOME BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CHALLENGING , BECAUSE JUST THE DAY BEFORE THERE WAS A MASSIVE TROPICAL STORM. SO? I WAS EVIDENTLY WORRIED ABOUT THE CONDITIONS. I WILL TAKE PHOTOS WITH MY CANON 1000FN EOS FILM CAMERA AND KODAK COLORPLUS 200 FILM USING MY 70-200 MM F4 L LENS. LOCATION: WEST OF SAINT LEU, ILE DE LA REUNION, INDIAN OCEAN. A FRENCH OVERSEAS DEPARTMENT OR DOM. EXPERIENCE: THIS IS MY FIRST TIME SHOOTING FILM , SO MY STRESS WAS CLEARLY VISIBLE IN THIS VIDEO, BUT IN THE END, I DEFINITELY LOVED IT. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. ALSO BOODY TIRING. MY TYPICAL METHOD : w+Canon EOS 1000fn Analog Film Camera loaded with Kodak Colorplus and/or Ilford HP5 I will use one or both of my Canon EF 70-200mm is F4 l and Canon EF 17-40 F4 L.
I will also use my EOS Canon 70d for a digital backup just in case if I damage my exposed Film. Scanner : agfaphoto gmbh d-lab 1 Video Style: My style of the video is going to be a Semi FPV Vlog format. One Gopro attached to my body. And Another one somewhere else. Because, I like First Person View vlogging. It feels personal. Wait a minute! I think it calls POV vlogging or Point Of View style video Vlogging. I don’t know. You get the point.

🎥 What Is My Goal In this Youtube Series: This video is all about Outdoor Photography and Landscape Photography On Location, With 35mm Film, where I shoot Film with ‘Kodak Film’ for Color and ‘Ilford Film for Black and White’ or Monochrome Photos. The format of my video is like a virtual vlog, to keep it real and honest about my method. Also, you get to see my struggles, my technics, I get to show you this Beautiful Reunion Island That I call home. It is one of the best photo locations in the world, where I can do photography on location. Because I was Inspired by other outdoor photographers, who do photography in the field. Also, I am a big fan of hiking and trekking. Also on Final Note, Landscape Photography On Film is very rare in YouTube. So, there you go.

📸 Why I Do Film Photography or Why Analog Photography Now? Because I believe that Film is Not Dead. It is Challenging, less perfect and more human touch. Almost everything is manual. You must choose in advance the ISO film speed for 135 film. Your need to think about proper light meter reading, exposure bracketing. Needless to say, Loading a Film in camera can also be very difficult. Also, Film Develop is also not easy. Different films will give you different looks. Also It will permit me to give you some photography tips on Film. Take it as a Documentary on Ile De La Reunion or A Photography Documanty in real life situations. Also, Take it as marriage between Retro Photography and Landscape Photography. I mean, Film photography are not meant to be just for hipsters, right?

🏝️ FILM PHOTOGRAPHY VS DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY : Well, I have no personal preference. But I do have a lot of curiosity. So, Take it as if I am doing a real life comparison between film vs digital photography with a canon 70 d and Canon Eos 1000fn. Which will usually be at the end of the video. Nice way to stir up the good old “Film vs Digital photography” Debate, right ?. Et Comme En Français On Dit, “Photographie Paysages Avec Appareil Photo Argentique” 👌
